How to delete administrator account in windows 8

Is there anything I can do? Is this where HomeGroup comes into play? I hope you can help. I have tried to turn off Sharing but I wonder if that is for other devices and not people. Now in Windows 8.1 they can see my Pictures, Documents, and Music. My issue is that in the old Windows XP we had to decide to share folders for all users to see. I initially set up everyone as Administrators as I am happy for my daughters to install some software.
